Facing the challenge of an unprecedented completion schedule, we submitted our portion of this survey in just over 60 days, which allowed the designers to begin weeks ahead of schedule. Our services included: traversing 15.4 miles of the 55-mile mainline alignment and 9.6 miles of secondary alignments; merging our ground data with aerial data into a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) covering approximately 2,100 acres; and preparing two Location Control Route Survey Plats (LCRSP) spanning 34 square miles.
We also prepared more than 400 legal descriptions involving more than 100 parcels during the right-of-way engineering phase, and we performed construction staking services on an additional nine miles of roadway.
