The 106th street and 126th street interchanges were part of a project to lower the grade of Keystone Avenue under five major interchanges along a five-mile stretch in Hamilton County. With no traffic lights between 96th Street and 146th Street, plus teardrop-shaped roundabouts to manage the east-west traffic flow, it allows north- and south-bound traffic on Keystone Avenue to flow freely. The project included approximately 1,000 feet of new concrete pavement north and south of each interchange, as well as grading, drainage, retaining walls and lighting for the new ramps and roundabouts at each location.
